Barbados beat Jamaica by nine wickets

Defending champions Jamaica suffered a nine-wicket defeat to Barbados in the opening round of the West Indies Cricket Board Under-15 championships at Warner Park in St. Kitts.

Jamaica, resuming the second and final day on 87 for six, were bowled out for 113, leaving Barbados to get just 33 for victory.

Michael Frew top scored for Jamaica in the second innings with 44, while Shakeel Turney picked up four wickets for Barbados.

Barbados then replied with 39 for one off 8.5 overs.

Final scores in the match are Jamaica 94 for nine off 32.1 overs and 113 off 41 point 2 overs, Barbados 176 for five off 39 overs and 39 for one off 8.5 overs.

Over at Conaree Sports Complex, the Windward Islands pulled off a shock two-wicket victory over Guyana.

Set 195 to win on the final day, the Windward Islands replied with 200 for eight to pull off the unlikely victory.

Final scores in that match are Guyana 171 for nine off 39 overs and 91 for six declared off 35 overs, Windward Islands 68 for nine off 30.4 overs and 200 for eight.

Over at the Edgar Gilbert Complex, the game between Trinidad and Tobago and the Leeward Islands ended in a draw.

Final scores in that match are T&T 144 for eight off 37 overs and 142 off 61.5 overs, Leeward Islands 90 for 8 off 38 overs.
