Kerron Stewart has become the third Jamaican to qualify for the semi finals of the women’s 100m semi-finals set for 1:35 tomorrow afternoon.

Stewart appeared to have had a poor start.

However, 70 metres down the track she recovered to end third in 11.08.

Murielle Ahoure of Ivory Coast was first in 10.99 while Laverne Jones-Ferrette of the US Virgin Islands was second in 11.07.

Earlier, Veronica Campbell Brown and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won their heats to qualify for the semis.
