It will come down to who wants it most, says Fraser-Pryce

Olympic champion, Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce, is going into tomorrow’s semi-finals of the women’s 100m confident that she will make it to the final.

But Fraser-Pryce has reserved comments on whether she will take home the gold in the 3:55 p.m. final.

“It will all come down to who wants it most," she told The Gleaner’s Andre Lowe in London.

“My confidence is not in my hands it’s in God’s because he is the one who brought me here,” she said.

Meanwhile, her Jamaican teammate Kerron Stewart has acknowledged that it will be tough for her.

Stewart has entered the Olympics shortly after recovering from injuries.

"I’m getting there,” she said.

“I believe everything in life is a test and it shows real character when you can come back. It’s easy to stay on top when you are doing good but the real true character is when you are able to come back from tough situations.”

In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Stewart tied with Sherone Simpson for a silver medal behind Fraser Pryce.

Veronica Camopbell-Brown is the other Jamaican who will be in the semi-final.
