JPS still working on power issues

2012-08-07 07:50:10 | with audio | (0 Comments)

Charlene Stuart, Staff Reporter

Several houses remain without electricity following a nationwide power outage early yesterday morning.

The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) says adverse weather conditions and two motor vehicle accidents contributed to the outages.

But JPS Corporate Communications Officer Audrey Williams says she cannot give a specific time when electricity will be restored to all of those affected.

However, Williams says a very effective response system is handling the situation.

The power outages have affected many people wishing to watch the Olympic Games.
