VCB, Fraser-Pryce cruise into 200m final

Jamaican sprinters Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Veronica Campbell Brown have qualified for the women’s 200-metre final at the London 2012 Olympics.

The finals will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m (Jamaica time)

Fraser-Pryce, who is trying to win the sprint double, clocked 22.34 for second place behind American Sanya Richard-Ross in semi-final three.

Richards-Ross clocked 22.30, the fastest qualifying time.

Olympic champion Campbell-Brown clocked a season-best 22.32 for a fighting victory over American Carmelita Jeter in semi-final one.

The other Jamaican, Sherone Simpson did not qualify.

Simpson clocked 22.71 for sixth place in the second semi-final.

American Allyson Felix eased to victory in 22.31.
