The Gleaner’s Ricardo Makyn was in the Olympic Stadium to capture the moment of pride during the medal ceremony for Jamaica’s Usain Bolt (gold) Yohan Blake (silver) and Warren Weir (bronze).

The athletes became the first non-Americans to make a clean sweep of the 200m.

America has recorded a clean sweep on six previous occasions: 1904 (St Louis), 1932 (Los Angeles), 1952 (Helsinki), 1956 (Melbourne), 1984 (Los Angeles), 2004 (Athens).
