Jamaican women beat SVG in Twenty20 cricket

Hosts Jamaica bounced back to winning ways by defeating St Vincent and the Grenadines by 25 runs in their fifth round match of the inaugural Regional Women’s Twenty20 tournament today.

The match was played at Kensington Park in Kingston.

Jamaica, batting first, scored 132 for six off their allotted 20 overs with West Indies player Stafanie Taylor leading the way with 52.

St Vincent and the Grenadines were then restricted to 107 for five off their 20 overs.

Taylor and Shanel Daley, another West Indies player, picked up two wickets apiece.

In the other match at Kensington Park, Trinidad and Tobago beat St Lucia by four wickets.

Over at Chedwin Park in St Catherine, Guyana beat Dominica by 87 runs; while Barbados defeated Grenada by eight wickets.
