Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz will begin their preparation for next month’s crucial World Cup qualifiers today when they tackle El Salvador in a friendly international in the United States.


The match will take place at the RFK Stadium in Washington.

Kick off time is 7 p.m (Jamaica time).

The coaching staff will use the game to help strengthen the squad ahead of two World Cup qualifiers against the USA.

The first match against the USA will take place on September 7 at home and four days later away in Columbus, Ohio.
For the El Salvador friendly, Jamaica’s coaching staff has recalled the US Major League pair of Darren Mattocks and Omar Cummings.

Also returning to the squad are Damion Williams and Obrian Woodbine.

Today’s game is the first of two warm-ups Jamaica play before they meet the USA.

On August 25 the Boyz go to the US for a friendly against Kenya in Hartford, Connecticut.
