Flash flood warning lifted

2012-08-26 18:06:36 | (0 Comments)

The Meteorological Service has discontinued the flash flood warning for low-lying and flood-prone areas of St Ann, St Mary, Portland, St Thomas, Kingston and St Andrew, St Catherine and Clarendon.

The Met Office says there has been a significant reduction in rainfall activity since last night.

It forecasts that the island will experience mostly cloudy conditions, especially across northern parishes with showers mainly during the afternoons in the coming days.

However, fishers and other marine interests are advised to exercise caution as strong gusty winds will persist over offshore areas of the north and south coasts.
