Rosemarie Whyte was the only Jamaican winner at the Zagreb IAAF World Challenge Meeting in Croatia today.
Whyte won the women’s 400 metres in 50.08 seconds beating Denisa Rosolova of the Czech Republic. Rosolova clocked 52.07 seconds. Aleen Bailey clocked 22.95 for second to American Allyson Felix in the women’s 200 metres. Felix won easily in 22.35. Earlier, Bailey finished third in the 100 metres in 11.32. American Carmelita Jeter won the event in 11.07. Mario Forsythe clocked 10.25 for third place in the men’s 100 metres. Michael Frater finished fourth in 10.31, while Nickel Ashmeade did not finish.
