CISOCA willing to reopen case of pregnant 14-y-o

The Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA), says it is willing to reopen the case involving a 14-year-old girl, who is accused of murder.
At the time the case was brought to CISOCA, the teenager was pregnant. She gave birth last week.
However, CISOCA said its investigations indicate that the man who impregnated the girl, is dead.
Head of CISOCA, Superintendent Gladys Brown said in light of this information the police have no case to pursue.
However, she said if the teenager’s attorney, Elham Bogle has new information that she’s willing to share with the police, CISOCA will reopen the case.
The teenager’s attorney said the court has suggested that CISOCA may have a case against the man, who impregnated the 14-year-old who is two years below the age of consent.
However, Superintendent Brown said to the best of CISOCA’s knowledge that person was murdered December last year.
She said if another man is in fact involved, then her agency will need this information.
She told our news centre that when the case was brought to her attention on March 28, CISOCA did its own investigations and got forensic evidence.
Superintendent Brown said this included obtaining a copy of the post-mortem report, burial order and a programme of the funeral for the person identified as the father of the girl’s baby.
The CISOCA head said DNA evidence might very well be needed to conclude the case.
