OCG says employee’s life threatened

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Glenmore Hinds is confirming that the Contractor General, Greg Christie has reported that an execution attempt has been made on the life of one of his employees.

DCP Hinds said he got the call about 11 o’clock this morning and has asked his officers to investigate

This afternoon, Christie’s office released a statement alleging that the incident occurred this morning.

The Office of the Contractor General (OCG) said the staff-member who was allegedly threatened is one of the primary officials with responsibility for interviewing contractors.

The OCG said he has been interviewing government contractors whose applications for re-registration have been withdrawn from the National Contracts Commission’s Works Contractor Application Process.
