Thompson, Hamil receive basketball scholarship

The Jamaican pair of Shevon Thompson and Roshane Hamil have received basketball scholarship to USA Junior Colleges.

Thompson, a former Vere Technical student, will attend Midland Junior College in Texas.

Hamil from Ocho Rios High received his scholarship to Redlands Junior College.

Thompson and Hamil were among the players who attended the Jamaica Basketball Association/KFC Elite Academy Draft.

Thompson was the Number One pick, while Hamil was the Number Five pick.
