Opposition spokesperson on gender affairs, Olivia Grange, says murders of pregnant women should become classified as capital murder.

She’s calling for this to apply especially to pregnancies in which the foetus is already at the point of viability.

Grange says this protection should also be extended to compensation from the state when the Police are involved.
