Generation 2000 (G2K) the young professional arm of the Jamaica Labour Party, is urging companies that have not yet contributed to national senior football programme to get on board and offer their assistance.

This follows Jamaica’s historic 2-1 win over the United States at the National Stadium last evening.

Making the call for more corporate support for the team, G2K president Floyd Green argues that sports continue to be an underused tool in nation building.

Green notes that Jamaica still has a far way to go to qualify for the World Cup, but says the win will provide the team and Jamaicans with renewed confidence going forward.
