The trial of international televangelist Paul Lewis, who is accused of perverting the course of justice is expected to get underway today.

The matter is being heard in the Sav-la-mar Resident Magistrate’s Court.

It is alleged that Lewis paid a witness to get two teenage girls to change their testimony in a case of carnal abuse and indecent assault, which was brought against him in the Westmoreland Circuit Court.

The pastor was accused of engaging in sexual activities with the girls.

He was freed of those charges last year.

Lewis is out on $300,000 bail.
