Bertland Cameron has resigned from the Racers Track Club, ending a two-year relationship with the University of West Indies-based outfit.

Cameron, a former 400m World Championships gold medallist, has handed in his resignation to head coach and club president Glen Mills.

A short while ago, Cameron told The Gleaner by way of email that he is now ready to consider other options and possibilities.

He did not say why he is resigning.

“It’s time to begin a new chapter of my life,” said Cameron by way of the email sent exclusively to The Gleaner.

Cameron managed the 400m programme at the Racers Track Club and during his time, conditioned the likes of national 400m record holder Jermaine Gonzales.
