NewsCabinet to review JDIP audit2012-09-13 08:52:17 | (0 Comments) ![]() Jamaica Development Infrastructure Programme sign at Eleven Miles, Bul Bay - file photo. Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Audrey Sewell, said the ministry received the document last Friday from Canadian firm Kroll Consulting, which conducted the probe. Sewell said the report will be reviewed by Cabinet, after which it is to be tabled in Parliament as a ministry paper. Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary also said a copy of the JDIP forensic audit report would be sent to the Office of the Contractor General (OCG). The OCG has been conducting its own investigations into JDIP. Former Prime Minister Andrew Holness had announced the audit in the wake of a damning report by Auditor General Pamela Monroe-Ellis on the JDIP. The Auditor General's report triggered the resignations of Patrick Wong, the former chief executive officer of the National Works Agency (NWA) and subsequently, then Transport and Works Minister, Mike Henry. The report found that the NWA used $102 million of JDIP money to refurbish its offices. editorial@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
