Several curfews have been imposed across the island as the police seek to curtail the movement of those involved in criminal activities.

In St. James, curfews are in place in sections of the volatile communities of Norwood, Flanker, Salt Spring, and Rose Heights as well as other areas.

Curfews are also in place in sections of the St. Catherine South and North police Divisions which have seen a flare up of violence in recent weeks.

Those areas include Big and Little lanes in Central Village, St. John’s Road, Lakes Pen and Job Lane.

Curfews are also in place in several communities including Russia and Bethel Town in Westmoreland.

Travel restrictions have also been placed on persons in the St. Andrew North Division including Grants Pen, Cassava Piece and Park Lane.
