Police probe Henry’s Imports boss for fraud

2012-09-13 18:16:23 | (0 Comments)

Detectives from the Half Way Tree Criminal Investigation Branch are asking anyone who has done business with Henry’s Imports on Slipe Road in St Andrew to contact them.

Investigators claim that in 2009, the owner of the business registered the company under a fraudulent name.

They allege that the man whose real name is Marcus Copeland, registered the company stating his name as Andrew Henry.

They say the businessman collected money from the public for the importation of vehicles to Jamaica.

Copeland, who is now in police custody, is to appear before the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court on September 20.

The Half Way Tree CIB is asking anyone who may have done business with Henry’s Imports to call them at 926-2551.
