NewsMotorists to expect delays along Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard2012-09-14 09:54:03 | (0 Comments)
The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists to expect delays while travelling along the Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard in eastern Kingston, on Monday, September 17.
The NWA said a section of western carriageway will be reduced to single-lane access, within the vicinity of the Carib Cement Company. It said this is to facilitate underground drainage improvement works and the rehabilitation of a section of the roadway. Acting Communication and Customer Services Manager at the NWA, Colin Morrison, said this temporary disruption will be in effect for one week, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Morrision said the works to be undertaken along the Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard form part of a larger programme funded by the Road Maintenance Fund (RMF), to address drainage improvement in the Kingston Metropolitan Region. The NWA said works are expected to be completed on September 21. The NWA is advising motorists to proceed with caution and to obey posted warning signs and the directions of flag persons. editorial@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
