NewsTwo men shot dead in reported police shoot out in Portmore2012-09-14 16:55:04 | (0 Comments)

The St Catherine South Police this afternoon killed two men in a reported shoot with them near the Newlands community of Portmore. The police say two illegal guns were also recovered. According to the police, about 2:30 p.m., one of their teams went into Portmore Lane near Newlands. The team was allegedly fired on and a shootout ensued during which the two men were hit. They were pronounced dead at hospital. The police say after the shooting, two weapons were found. The seizures bring to 51, the number of illegal guns taken off the streets in the St Catherine South Police Division since the start of the year.
