The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) is seeking to clarify the issues which have led to a disruption of service in Flanker, St. James.

The Company says for several months it urged residents to become regularised, before the implementation of its tamper-resistant network in their community.

But it says when the system was implemented last week, residents who had not become regularised, were left without power.

The JPS says some customers proceeded to run illegal wires from other areas back to the community causing service interruption even to legal customers.
