Police sergeant charged for forgery

2012-09-15 09:13:41 | (0 Comments)

Members of the Anti-Corruption Branch yesterday arrested and charged a police sergeant attached to the Traffic Headquarters with three counts of forgery.
He is 43-year-old Joscelyn Richards.

He appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court yesterday and was granted bail in the sum of $350,000.

The cop was also ordered to surrender his travel documents.

A file was submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions after an investigation into irregularities relating to gas cards for service vehicles.

The investigation revealed that the sergeant may have forged signatures on gas receipts at service stations.
