International Coastal Clean-up Day a success

2012-09-15 12:44:39 | (0 Comments)

Hundreds of volunteers today turned out to clean up the Half Moon Bay, in Hellshire, St Catherine and the Shipwreck site along the Palisadoes strip in Kingston.

This forms part of the National Environment and Planning Agency’s (NEPA), effort to mark International Coastal Clean-up Day which is being recognised globally.

Volunteers from over 100 countries spent the morning collecting millions of pounds of litter and debris on inland roadsides, coastal areas, inland lakes and rivers.
