Comrades rise for Ramtallie

Former vice president of the People's National Party (PNP) O.D Ramtallie today received a standing ovation from persons attending the 74th annual conference at the National Arena.

Ramtallie, a former minister of Government, is ill.

However, according to general secretary Peter Bunting, he was pivotal in helping the PNP to win the West St Mary seat in the 2011 general election.

The PNP's Joylan Silvera unseated the JLP's Robert Montague in the election.
