Retired senior superintendent of police Anthony 'Tony' Hewitt.
Retired senior superintendent of police Anthony 'Tony' Hewitt is now undergoing treatment at hospital after he was shot and injured during an incident on Donmair Avenue, Kingston 19 this afternoon.

The police high command has not provided any details on the incident.

However, Commissioner of Police, Owen Ellington has condemned the attack.

He is urging investigators to work tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.

He has also expressed sympathy to Hewitt and his family, and had wished him a speedy recovery.
