NewsFarmers poisoned, found dead in Manchester2012-09-16 18:08:24 | (0 Comments)
Dave Lindo, Gleaner Writer
Two workers on a farm in Newport, Manchester were found dead in their living quarters yesterday morning in what is suspected to be a case of poisoning. The men have been identified as 19-year-old Lionel Gayle, otherwise called Peto from a Blenim Town address, and 22-year-old Nathaniel Williams from a Balaclava address in St Elizabeth. It is believed that the men had used chemicals on the farm on Friday, after which they cooked and ate without properly washing away the poisonous substance. Colleagues became suspicious when the men did not report for work at 5 a.m. and were subsequently found dead. The police say there was no evidence of foul play.
