Truck driver killed in St. Catherine

The Spanish Town police have confirmed the shooting death of a truck driver in Phase 1, of the Angels Housing Scheme in St. Catherine last night.

The victim has been identified as Dennis Daley who lived in the community.

Reports are that about midnight, Daley drove up to the entrance of the community but observed that the gate was padlocked.

He reportedly came out of the vehicle and was attacked by gunmen, who shot him several times.

The police also say the hoodlums attempted to rob him but a private firearm holder engaged them and they ran.

Daley was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
