The police have responded following outrage by some parents over the decision of cops to transport an entire class of Cornwall College students to the Montego Freeport police station after a boy’s bag was stolen.
In a statement released this afternoon, the police said they took the group of boys to the station yesterday to address them about discipline, education and personal development.

The police confirmed that the boys were taken to the station after it was reported that they were involved in the stealing of a bag containing books, house keys and other valuables.
According to the police, at the station, the boys were addressed by a community relations officer.
The police say while the boys were being addressed, one of them confessed to taking the bag.
He was then detained by the police.
The police say the parents of the other boys were then called and their children handed over to them.
