Ronald Oates, the man believed to be the mastermind of a computer hacking extortion ring is now facing an additional charge under the Cyber Crimes Act and the Larceny Act.
Acting Head of the Organised Crime Investigation Division, Senior Superintendent Clifford Chambers, said Oates was slapped with an additional charge after another complainant came forward.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday in relation to the latest charge.
Oates is accused of extorting money from persons so as to not post explicit photos of them on the Jamaican Girls Exposed website.
The police reported in August, as many as 25 persons had filed complaints against him.
The 27-year-old, who is now out on bail, is to return to court on October 16 in relation to previous charges.
He was granted bail in the sum of $500,000 on Tuesday with strict conditions.
He was ordered to stay away from computers, the internet and high-tech mobile telephones.
His movement has also been restricted between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
In addition, Oates was ordered to report daily to the Rollingon Town Police between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
A stop order was also placed on him and his travel documents seized.
