JDF soldier succumbs to injuries

The Jamaica Defense Force (JDF) soldier, who was attacked and shot several times on Saturday night died this morning, at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI).

The soldier, identified only as Corporal G. Morgan, was attacked by gunmen and shot all over his body at his home in Green Bottom, Clarendon on Saturday night.

Reports are that shortly after 11.00 pm, residents heard explosions and Morgan was later discovered suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was airlifted to the UHWI for treatment.
