Edna Manley administration, students meet

2012-09-24 09:01:46 | with audio | (0 Comments)

The administration at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts and members of the Student Council are to meet this morning to address complaints by students.

Angry students padlocked the gates of the institution on Friday to register their displeasure with the administration.

Among their issues are inadequate computers and internet service, the absence of student lockers and inadequate literary services.

Student council vice president, Rodney Small, said the members are expecting to hear clear solutions to the issues.

Friday’s protest by the students resulted in the suspension of classes even after the padlocked gates were opened through the intervention of the police.

Student council members later held talks with the college administration and the parties agreed to meet again this morning.
