SportsWest indies progress, Ireland out2012-09-24 12:45:31 | (0 Comments)
The Group B game of the World Twenty20 Championship between Ireland and West Indies finished in a no-result on Monday, after heavy rain forced an abandonment at the R Premadasa Stadium.
The game was reduced to 19 overs per side because of a rain interruption during Ireland’s innings. West Indies qualify for the Super Eight, second round on a superior net run rate. Ireland posted a sub-par total of 129 for six from 19 overs. West Indies will face England in the Super Eights stage on Thursday, September 27. sports@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
