NewsAlleged throat slasher gets $2 million bail2012-09-25 17:00:39 | (0 Comments)
Junior Hyatt, the man accused of slashing the throat of his female companion in Mavis Bank, St Andrew in June, has been granted bail.
Hyatt was offered $2 million bail in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court today. As a condition of his bail, he was ordered to report to the Mavis Bank Police station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Hyatt was arrested following an attack on 48-year-old Doreen Headlamb from Jackfruit Tree in Gordon Town, St Andrew. It is reported that Headlamb was walking near the Wallenford Coffee Factory, when she was attacked by a man. Headlamb died on the spot and the man reportedly fled the scene. Junior Hyatt was later arrested and charged in relation to her death. It’s understood that Headlamb and Hyatt were in a relationship. It is further reported that the woman might have been killed, as she was unable to account for money amounting to US$20,000 which was allegedly sent to her over time by Hyatt. radio@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
