NewsPoliceman shot, wounded in Clarendon2012-09-29 13:56:35 | (0 Comments)
A policeman was shot and wounded in Osbourne Store, Clarendon last evening.
His identity has not been released, but head of the Clarendon Police Superintendent Michael Bailey says the policeman’s injuries are not life-threatening and he remains hospitalised. This is the second attack on a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force in the last nine days. On September 20, Police Corporal Warren Campbell was shot and killed by gunmen outside his home in Patrick City, St Andrew. In the latest incident, Superintendent Bailey says the policeman was at a club when gunmen entered and began robbing patrons. He reportedly pulled his service weapon and challenged the robbers and was shot. editorial@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
