Guyana fire kills mother, three children

2012-09-30 11:09:18 | (0 Comments)

At least four people, including three children, were killed in Guyana after a fire swept through their home in Charlestown yesterday.

The bodies of the four victims, believed to be a mother and her two children and a toddler belonging to a woman who had been rescued, were discovered after the fire was extinguished.

Fire Chief Marlon Gentle says the Guyana Fire Service managed to rescue one unidentified person, who is reported to have suffered third degree burns.

Gentle says two of the bodies were discovered in one room and the others were in separate rooms in the wooden building.
