NewsAmmunition seized in St James, St Mary2012-09-30 12:10:30 | (0 Comments)
The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) is reporting that several rounds of ammunition were seized by the police in separate incidents in St Mary and St James yesterday.
The CCN says a stolen motor car was also recovered in the incident in St James. The Annotto Bay Police report that about 5:15 yesterday morning, a police team was on patrol on the Enfield main road when they were approached a group of men. The men reportedly fled, leaving behind a knapsack in which 10 12-gauge cartridges were reportedly found. Meanwhile, the Anchovy Police report that a team of officers was on patrol about 1:45 in the afternoon when they observed a motor car which had been reported stolen on Friday. The vehicle appeared to have been abandoned and the police say a search resulted in the discovery of a magazine containing nine 9-millimetre cartridges.
