Ammunition seized in St James, St Mary

The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) is reporting that several rounds of ammunition were seized by the police in separate incidents in St Mary and St James yesterday.
The CCN says a stolen motor car was also recovered in the incident in St James.
The Annotto Bay Police report that about 5:15 yesterday morning, a police team was on patrol on the Enfield main road when they were approached a group of men.
The men reportedly fled, leaving behind a knapsack in which 10 12-gauge cartridges were reportedly found.
Meanwhile, the Anchovy Police report that a team of officers was on patrol about 1:45 in the afternoon when they observed a motor car which had been reported stolen on Friday.
The vehicle appeared to have been abandoned and the police say a search resulted in the discovery of a magazine containing nine 9-millimetre cartridges.
