MPs tour Kintyre

2012-10-02 12:18:09 | (0 Comments)

Members of parliament Andre Hylton and Damion Crawford this morning toured sections of Kintyre, where a section of the bridge was washed away during heavy rains.

Junior works minister Richard Azan, who was also a part of that tour, has promised that work to replace the bridge will begin as soon as the hurricane season ends.

Residents have complained that the current bridge has been in varying stages of disrepair since hurricane Gilbert in 1988.

However, speaking to reporters this morning, Azan said he is aware that numerous promises have been made to the residents in the past but made it clear he will deliver.
