Man shot by police in St Catherine

A man was reportedly killed by the police during an alleged shootout along St. John’s Road in Spanish Town, St. Catherine last night.


His identity has not been released.

The police report that a team was on patrol about 8 o’ clock when it came under fire from gunmen.

The police say the man was hit after they shot back.

He later succumbed to injuries.

The Independent Commission of Investigations is probing the incident.
