The West Indies have registered an emphatic 74-run win against Australia in the semi final of the ICC T20 championship.

The Windies will next face host Sri Lanka in the final on Sunday.

The Windies, winning the toss and batting first, made 205-4 off their allotted 20 overs with Chris Gayle, 75 not, out leading the scoring.

The Aussies in reply had a rocky start and continued to lose wickets at regular intervals.

At one stage they were 43-4.

George Bailey was the mainstay for Australia as he hammered 63 runs from 29 balls but that would not be enough to save his team.

SCORES
West Indies 205-4 (20 overs
Australia 131 all out (16.4 overs)
