Rasbert Turner, Gleaner Writer

The case against Marvin Douglas, who is charged with the murder of his girlfriend, again failed to get underway in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court today.

He was not taken to court and a writ was sent to the detention centre at which he is being held.

The matter was put off for mention on October 16.

The case is being heard by Resident Magistrate Marcia Dunbar-Green.

It is alleged that Douglas stabbed his girlfriend repeatedly at their home in Mount View, St Catherine on May 5 then fled.

The woman’s body was found the next day by relatives.
