There was another damming testimony in the murder trial of Constable Rushon Hamilton in the Home Circuit Court this morning.
Hamilton is on trial for the murder of Kingston schoolgirl Jhaneel Goulbourne.
In a statement read to the jury this morning a witness, who is now deceased, stated that in October 2008, Hamilton travelled to St. Mary looking for somewhere to dump a body.
The witness said in the statement that Hamilton said he was in trouble and had to get rid of someone.
The witness named Kemar Johnson, said in the statement that Hamilton promised him food in return for his help.
He said the police constable also gave him money and two cell phones but he told him he was not interested.
Johnson also said in the statement that Hamilton later told him that he had got rid of the body.
He also wrote that Hamilton contacted him later in 2008 to inform him that he had been arrested and ordered him to keep his mouth shut.
Meanwhile, the Crown is expected to close its case next week.
The case was scheduled to continue on Wednesday but has been pushed back a day as one of the jurors will not be available.
The Crown has also asked for a warrant for the arrest of a former policeman, who should have testified today.
Michael McDonald who is the last witness to be called by the Crown, sent in a sick leave notice as the reason why he didnít show up today.
The Crown has asked that the warrant be stayed until Tuesday, a day after the sick leave expires.
