Reggae artistes to honour Captain Barkey in New York

Members of the reggae music fraternity, media and friends will this evening honour gather in New York to honour popular Jamaican entertainer Captain Barkey who was shot dead in Bronx on Saturday morning.

Captain Barkey whose real name was Wayne Hamilton was murdered along with a woman outside a motel.

This evening’s tribute will be hosted by Irie Jam radio in collaboration with Images Media and will take place at Clippers Restaurant and Lounge in Queens, New York at 7 o’clock.

Barkey become popular in 1996 with the release of the song Go-Go Wine which featured another Jamaican, Wickerman.
