A 32-year-old prisoner who escaped from the Half Way Tree Police lockup on September 30, 2010 was recaptured this morning.

Andrew Beale otherwise called ‘Raymond Anthony Folkes’, ‘Blacks’, ‘Mr. T’ and ‘Wingy’, was arrested in March of 2010.

A month later he was charged by the St Thomas Police for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

In June he was also charged by the Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) for the murder December 2008 murder of Headley Charles Morris on Windward Road.

He was awaiting trial when he escaped.

The police say about 5 o’clock Beale was apprehended during an operation led by the Major Investigation Taskforce and Flying Squad at premises in Gregory Park, St. Catherine.
