2012-10-16 08:58:23 | (0 Comments)

A prisoner who escaped from the Half Way Tree Police lockup two years ago has been recaptured.

Thirty-two-year-old Andrew Beale, who also goes by the alias ‘Raymond Anthony Folkes’, ‘Blacks’, ‘Mr. T’ and ‘Wingy’, was held yesterday morning.

He was recaptured during an operation led by the Major Investigation Taskforce and Flying Squad at premises in Gregory Park, St. Catherine.

Beale was arrested in March of 2010 and charged by the St. Thomas Police in April for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

In June of that year, he was also charged by the Major Investigation Taskforce for the murder of Headley Charles Morris in December 2008 on Windward Road.

Beale was awaiting trial when he escaped.
