Mandeville taxi-operator accused of rape for court today

The Mandeville taxi operator accused of raping a 12-year-old girl is to appear in court today.

He was pointed out in an identification parade on Friday and charged by the Mandeville police on Monday.

The man was taken into custody by the police last week for allegedly raping his goddaughter while taking her home from school.

The man reportedly assaulted the girl in bushes.
