NewsMurder trial of cops accused of double murder delayed2012-10-22 12:10:06 | (0 Comments)
The murder case involving three policemen charged in connection with the 2004 murders of Kemar Walter and Oliver Duncan has been put off until Wednesday.
Police corporals Paul Edwards and Louie Lynch are charged with the murders of Walters, 20, and Duncan, 32. Assistant Superintendent Victor Barrett is charged with accessory after the fact to murder and perverting the course of justice. When the case was called up the Home Circuit Court this morning, it was postponed because attorney-at-law Valerie Neita-Robertson is now appearing in the trial of ex-cop Rushon Hamilton. Walters and Duncan were abducted from the Boulevard Super Centre on Washington Boulevard, St Andrew on December 23, 2004. The policemen were arrested and charged in June 2009 for their disappearance. radio@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
