JUTC on standby to evacuate Kintyre residents

The Jamaica Urban Transit Company Limited (JUTC) is now on standby to evacuate the residents living along the bank of the Hope River in the Kintyre, St Andrew.

"We understand that there are some problems in the Kintyre area that could warrant our assistance," Reginald Allen, Corporate Communications Manager at the JUTC told The Gleaner,.

"We have an overall apparatus at the JUTC where we have a central team that co-ordinates disaster response, this is where we help to fulfill transportation for people in need of assistance,” he said.
