The Palisadoes Road Rehabilitation Project will get its first real test today when Tropical Storm Sandy moves across the island.

The storm is now forecast to make landfall near Kingston.

Already the waves are building as they bash the man-made barriers of rocks created to prevent flooding of the roadway.

Early this morning our photographer Norman Grindley captured the waves as the Caribbean Sea starts to swell.
